Water (H2O) constitutes a major part of our body. Two thirds of our body weight is water, and is vital for every organ in the body including the skin. Water aids the circulation of blood, fluids, and the necessary elements throughout our internal organs and skin. Additionally, it also controls and regulates the skin's natural balance. Water hydrates, revitalizes, detoxifies, and oxygenates the skin. It also replaces the moisture lost due to everyday activities. When the skin is optimally hydrated it looks fuller and healthier; when dehydrated it can look sallow and wrinkles become more pronounced.
