Immune Protection

It is well established that ultraviolet radiations from sunlight are carcinogenic for skin cells. These radiations at different wavelengths induce damage in the skin mainly through two mechanisms: Direct DNA alteration and changes of the immune system. The skins immune system is composed of a complex network of cells and soluble mediators that help maintain the homeostasis of skin. Studies have shown that topical application of Niacinamide strengthens skin immune defence by preventing suppression of the skins immune responses to UVR. It also improves signs of sun damage, is an ideal maintenance treatment for hyper-pigmentation and can help regulate sebum protection.
